The IFFRETS Universe Continues To Move On

I.D.M.Morgan: So the IFFRETS universe continues to move on forward with the development of the in depth persona/personality creations and build up and offs that me and P.D. are working on. I'm actually really excited about this because to me this will def make the comic more real and dependable in the sense that there will always be a reason and sense of TRUE self in the characters. It will honestly be the characters leading the story as it goes along not by necessarily by just our own hand. I'm sure we'll have some cleche moments but at least they wont be without real reason or understanding by the reader, like we've seen with SOME Graphic Novels and Mangas out there. However I can tell you this.... Not everything will be as predictable as you may think.. its actually pretty strait forward ha-ha-ha-ha. OR IS IT!!!!!?????

If I may however say for any new or even older artists who are coming up with new works of their own or working with someone who is. I would highly recommend really fleshing out who your characters are/or are going to become. I love the characters we've come up with. It helps me keep a better connection with them and I think in turn it would def have the same effect on readers as well. Giving your characters real personality is a big thing with anyone coming up with a new concept or story. I've come to find (And I'm am to guilty of such a sin) that to many people get to excited about what they are working on and just go along with what they think should happen in a Graphic Novel/Manga which in some respects is fun and exciting, but it can only go so far with no real thought out character development charts/sheets. In the end your character will become so limited in their own self... I wont go to deep but I love knowing my characters can in their own right say they have a real sense of self and a real depth to their personalities, emotions, reactions, thoughts, and feelings. It is what helps carry them on along. And a word of advice... Always, Always write such things out. You never want to just rely on your memory of who they are because you have to remember, you have your own personality traits that thought some do get carried over into your characters anyway, relying on just your memory may put more of that into them and ending up making characters that seem very similar types with different groups in which they'd fall into.

Well coming back onto what I am doing: I think one of the things thought that is so daunting tasks or realizations my writer and I are faced with is the fact that to go so in depth with these kinda of characters as well as so many... is going to take up allot of time and hours for sure. You see for me Iffrets is not only something fun and exciting to do but its also my way of stretching out and expanding upon my own skills and teq. There are going to be allot of character faces that artistically wise I hope to have challenge me and one of the biggest hurdler for me will def be creating the city scape and places the comic will be taking place in as well which is both exciting and daunting however my excitement at what the end result will be is more than enough to topple such feelings.

Well thats my blogging update for now. Hope you guys will check IFFRETS out when we finish with some of the base material and can start getting into the pages.

With Blood Sweat and Tears,

I.D.M.Morgan

IDM, Much agreed...as creators we must do our best at we were created to do, create! I know that sounds rehearsed, but it doesn't mean it's not true.

ha-ha much appreciated tho, there will and are def going to be times, which I'm sure even now I'm guilty of, where i slack. But I like to see it as this: If its worth my time in my mind and I'm enthused about it. Then it will always get my best. If not, then one will clearly know I'm not completely there with them.

for example you telling me that... Makes me want to work harder on my IFFRETS comic, why??? I've not the slightest clue HA-HA-HA-HA. But I'll use it as a means to push myself to do better. After all, shouldn't that be the goal of anyone looking to do great things in this world?

My thoughts exactly IDM, I feel character development is the most important aspect of a book...in fact I will be writing a segment on its importance in a few weeks...hope you read it: www.comicprivy.com
