1. What made you want to get into comics?
My Uncle Tom Waltz is really the biggest reason. He taught me how
to read with New Avengers Issue #1 and The Hobbit. After learning
that he was in comics I grew more and more interested. I also grew
more determined to top him.
2. What’s your favorite comic title of all time?
hmm...that's a tough question. I guess I would have to go with Bone
by Jeff Smith.
3. What are your current projects?
I am currently working on a website called Comic Sulphites. The
site will consist of movie reviews, artist and writer interviews,
comic reviews, and online comics.
4. What’s your favorite past project of yours?
My favorite project is a graphic novel I am currently working on
called My Guardian. It has a lot of emotional ties to my life.
5. Do you have any upcoming projects you can talk about?
I am currently coloring a comic for IDW Publishing. It's a
children's Halloween story.
6. Where do you draw your inspiration?
I draw a lot of inspiration from my Uncle Tom and many things in my
life. A lot of events inspire me such as my great grandmother's
passing away. It all seems to haunt me for a while until it comes
out in writing.
7. What is the biggest piece of advice you can give
aboutcreating comics?
Don't give up. Always look for a way in. The opening may be small
but it can only get bigger.
8. Who is your favorite comic creator?
Tom Waltz
9. What’s your favorite convention?
San Diego Comic Con
10. How did you get your start in comics?
My Uncle Tom let me write a short story to put in the back of his graphic novel several years ago.
